February is here, and as you’re reading this… I’m in Disney World! This is our makeup vacation from the time we had to evacuate Disney due to Hurricane Irma. I’m hoping this trip will go a lot smoother.
Since it’s the first Wednesday of the month, I’m linking up with Anne in Residence for the monthly Currently post. Make sure you go to her blog to check out what everyone else is up to this month!
…my to do list before vacation! As I’m writing this, I’m pre-scheduling a bunch of blog posts to go up while I’m gone (including this one!). I’m also pre-scheduling some Instagram posts, making packing lists and oh yeah, trying to get all my work done at my actual job. There’s always so much to do right before a vacation, but I like to make an extra push to give myself the best chance at not having to worry about anything while I’m away. I also try to give myself a day or two buffer after coming home from a trip, so my pre-preparations extend to covering those days as well.
…to podcasts. I’ve only recently started listening to podcasts, but I’ve become hooked. I love queueing one up in the car on my drive to and from work. It makes the drive go by even faster than if I was playing music. So far I’ve been listening to podcasts mostly about the everyday struggles of life and motivating/inspirational stories. I’m really on the hunt for some blogging specific ones as well. Please share if you have any you love!
…some new organization for the house! In February, I’m going to start work on some new organization systems for a few of the bedroom closets. I’m actually quite excited about this and have been browsing the Container Store’s website trying to figure out what kind of closet configuration will work best. I’m going to be using their Elfa system, and I’m starting in the guest bedroom.
…a LOT of YouTube videos. I suppose this isn’t anything new, but I just find myself watching YouTube videos more than anything else lately. I’m obsessed with beauty and planner content (which shouldn’t be a surprise if you’ve been reading my blog), and I can just queue up a ton and let them play. I especially like that I can link my phone to the Roku on the living room TV and watch them on the big screen. If anyone has any recommendations for new channels, I’d love to hear them!
…that we’re in the (semi) home stretch to spring! Every year once January is over, I start getting spring fever. Spring is my absolute favorite time of year and brings me such happiness and hope. Already, the extra daylight has been lifting my spirits. I can’t wait to start going on outdoor walks during my lunch breaks again, and I really can’t wait to stop the incessant worry about snow and snow removal. It’s almost here!
Your turn! What are you currently finishing, subscribing to, wishlisting, watching or hearting?
