One Week One Palette | Weeks 35 & 36

Welcome back to another installment of One Week One Palette! Because of my unusual schedule due to traveling, I decided to focus on two oldie but goodie palettes from my collection. During my one week away in Disney, I brought with me my stand-by, reliable travel palette. The following week, I was still on vacation but back at home. I wasn’t putting on makeup everyday, so I decided to use a palette that I already know and love rather than try something new in the days I did go out.

Here’s how the two weeks ended up!

Week 35: Studio Makeup On-The-Go The Warm Up Palette

Before leaving on my trip, I debated taking one of my other travel friendly palettes instead of this one, but I just love this palette. It’s one of my favorites, and it isn’t even one of the most high end palettes I own. I’m constantly amazed that I discovered this palette in a BoxyCharm.

Look at that pan in the top left shade! I even find myself grabbing for that shade when another palette is missing a super light and shimmery color to fill in that gap. During my week in Disney, I was able to do quick looks in the morning before hitting the parks that still made me feel put together. In addition to the impressive shimmers, there are also perfect mattes for transition and deepening up a look. It really is a perfect, complete palette.

Week 36: Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance

One Week One Palette - Modern Renaissance

The week following our Disney vacation, I had a few additional days off from work. I was pretty thankful for this after our evacuation ordeal and was looking forward to some much needed rest. I only had a few days at the office and just wanted a reliable palette that I was already quite familiar with. Enter Modern Renaissance.

There’s a reason so many people in the beauty community talk about this palette: it’s just plain good. The colors are beautiful and create interesting, unique looks. I find it very easy to create something fun and dramatic with this. At the same time, it’s just as easy to create everyday, office-friendly looks as well. If you haven’t tried this Anastasia formula, be prepared for fallout and kick back with these shadows as they’re fairly powdery. However, I don’t find this to be enough of a problem to impact my love for this palette.

I’m sure both of these palettes will make numerous more appearances in my makeup rotation in the future.
