It’s that time again to take a look back at my goals and set some new ones in my Monthly Goal Review! Every month I write out some areas of focus in my Erin Condren Life Planner and use it to keep me accountable week to week. I’ve been doing this for at least a year and a half now, and it has really made a lot of difference in my life.
While September didn’t go quite as I had planned, I have some higher hopes for the month of October.
Let’s take a look!
When I was originally planning my goals for September, there was one thing prominently on my mind: Disney! It was supposed to be a month of relaxing and resetting. While Disney did accomplish this to some degree, the interruption of the trip and stress of evacuating did not do much for my stress levels. Despite this, I was still able to check off all my vacation-oriented goals around relaxing, reading and spending quality time with my husband.
I am quite happy with my progress in the Blog category of my goals list. Before leaving for vacation, I pre-scheduled every blog post that I would be missing during my time away. I also posted 12 times in the month, which is exactly what I had hoped to do.
The miscellaneous category is the area where I let the ball drop. After coming home from out trip, I really didn’t have much motivation to tackle additional goals. I had been hoping to have a one-on-one dinner with one friend or a catch-up phone call, but I didn’t make time for that. Also, organizing the office closet and restarting my workout routine took a backseat as well. I’m fine with this and know that these things will happen in time.
October is here, and I’m ready to get going on some new goals! To begin, as usual blogging is one of my main categories. I want to continue posting 12 times per month, regularly commenting on other blogs and expanding my work on Pinterest. Next up is the Home category where the decluttering effort continues by getting rid of some old clothes and DVDs, organizing the kitchen pantry and coming up with a manageable cleaning schedule for the house. I’m optimistic about this one!
The last two categories are Miscellaneous and Me and both focus on things that will either help reduce my stress levels or that are just pure fun. Concerts, movies, a Halloween marathon with my husband and reading are all on these lists. I want to do some good things for myself this month!
