Last month was the much anticipated Sephora VIB sale, during which time I shared both my wishlist and my recommendations. I thought I’d give you guys a run down on what I actually ended up purchasing from the sale and why. Spoiler alert: I deviated A LOT from my wish list.
Let’s take a look at my Sephora VIB Sale haul!
Essentials and Splurges
The Beauty Blender set with cleanser was in fact on my wishlist and for good reason. It’s important to have backups of everyday essential products like this and what better time to grab them than the sale?
The Anastasia Brow Wiz was also on my wish list, and I’m excited to start using it.
I had heard about the Tarte Pearly Girl Teeth Whitening Pen during one of their recent launches and was intrigued. My teeth can definitely use some whitening and the fact that this is vegan and from a reputable company like Tarte makes me feel good about giving it a try.
The Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and the Shiseido Intensive Eye Contour Cream were both wishlist items as well. But the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream certainly was not! I had been hearing some of my favorite YouTubers rave about this and decided to splurge (it’s quite pricey!).
On the more practical end of the scale, I ordered the Drybar dry shampoo in both the full size and the travel size. I got a sample of this in a subscription box and found it to be the best dry shampoo I’d ever tried. I’m putting the travel size away for this year’s vacations.
Masks and More
The Dr. Jart+ All That Contours Hydrogel Masks were also a recommendation I picked up from one of my favorite YouTubers. I’ve already tried a few of these and I love them. I’m happy I was able to pick up two boxes while they were on sale!
Much like the teeth whitening pen, the Tarte No Shower Happy Hour was in the back of my mind ever since it was released. I love that Tarte is branching out into other areas of beauty.
While I was splurging, I decided to go for the Tarte Pack Your Bags Undereye Rescue Patches. My undereyes need all the help they can get, and I’ve heard great things about these.
I know I said I wasn’t going to be picking up any palettes during the sale, but I just couldn’t resist.
Both the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and the Viseart Theory Palette will be featured in tomorrow’s installment of One Week One Palette. Stay tuned to see what I thought of them!
I also picked up the Sephora Favorites Beauty After Last Call set which appears to be no longer available. I originally had my eye on a different Sephora Favorites set, but it sold out before I could get my hands on it. Still, this one has a lot of great products that I’m excited to use.
In case you thought I didn’t already have enough Tarte products in this haul, don’t fret: there’s more! I can never resist a value set, so I also got the Tarteist Treats Set which has a lot of fun products included.
And lastly, I decided to add the Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit to my cart (the one linked there is slightly different – mine is no longer available). I bought one of these sets a few summers ago and the products lasted me forever.
