BoxyCharm | January 2017

I’ve missed doing these BoxyCharm reviews during my site’s downtime! Luckily a new box arrived just a few days ago, and I’m here to discuss the contents and my first impressions of the products.

This month’s theme is “And the Charm award goes to…”

BoxyCharm January 2017 Charm Award

BoxyCharm January 2017 Vintage Highlighter Palette

Vintage Highlighter Double in Chocolate Diamond and Rose Quartz

First up is this highlighter duo containing a pink highlighter alongside a more bronzey one. These highlighters seem to be very good quality and can either be used subtly, or built up to something more substantial.

Both colors complimented my very fair skin.

BoxyCharm January 2017 Konjac Sponge and Bronzer

Pur Mineral Glow Bronzer

I was hoping this bronzer wouldn’t be too dark on my skin, and luckily it isn’t. It actually gives a very natural looking bronze color that blends easily. Swatches of the bronzer (top) and highlighters (bottom) below:

Gorge Amazing Konjac Sponge

I was not too excited to see this product in the box. I’ve never tried a Konjac sponge before, and can’t say I’ve ever had an interest in doing so. I like my face cleansing routine the way it is, so I’m not in a rush to use this, but will likely pull it out and give it a try someday since I don’t like things going to waste.

BoxyCharm January 2017 Perfume and Fan Brush

So Susan Fan Brush

I’ve actually never owned a fan brush before, so I was happy to see one in here to add to my brush collection. This brush is extremely soft and thus will give you a very soft effect when used with a highlighter. If you’re looking for a more dramatic glow, this won’t be what you’re looking for, but I tend to like the more subtle effect.

English Laundry Pour Femme Deluxe Roller Ball

This perfume has fresh, sweet notes and is overall a fun scent. I liked it quite a bit and will be adding it into my current fragrance rotation.

Overall, this wasn’t my all time favorite BoxyCharm, but it was still good. I’m sure I will get some very good use out of the majority of these products.
